They all come with our recommendation as these are the places we use. Whether is particularly good food or good shopping or just a convenient place for groceries, you’ll find it listed here.
These are the two best known supermarket chains. Wal-Mart sells pretty much everything of course and the SuperCentre is only 5 minutes drive away. We always visit there first to stock up on groceries and beer!
For a nice alternative use Publix supermarket on the 192. Smaller than Wal-Mart but has a different food range. Think of ASDA and Tesco in the UK and you have a good comparison. Publix is a lot quieter too, Wal-Mart can get very busy. Publix have a UK isle with HP sauce and other things from home.
There are “helpers” packing your bags for you and taking your bags to your car. Don’t feel awkward, there’s no need to tip them (they aren’t allowed to accept tips) it’s all part of the service.
Target Supermarkets
Similar to Walmart, but with a more relaxed atmosphere. They also sell food. The nearest Supercentre is just 5 minutes away on the 192 just before Publix’s if you are going west.
Perkins Restaurants
On the corner of North Poinciana Boulevard and the 192 just 3 minutes from the villa. Good for breakfast - especially omelettes!
Olive Garden Restaurants
Great Italian food, great atmosphere, great service. Very popular, you may have to wait at busy times. If you can, wait until after 8.00 PM it should be quieter then. Nearest location is on the 192 just after Publix going west.
Applebees Restaurants
Good American food, but best of all 2 for 1 drinks all day every day!. Beer, wine and spirits. Located just before the Target Supercentre going west on the 192.
There is a crazy golf course just up the road if you fancy a game. Take a Taxi
Tip! If you would like to dine out in the evening, take a taxi. County Taxi’s (recommended, Tel 407 396 0003) will pick you up at the villa. Ask for a round trip and they will also bring you back. Bear in mind you will have to pay for both journeys. You can ask the restaurant to phone for you when you are ready to return.

Logan’s Roadhouse
A little further away (but worth it) try a Texan Roadhouse. American food with a Texan twist. West on the 192 just past Old Town.

TGI Friday’s Restaurant
Good American food, also popular so you may have to wait. Over the road from the Olive Garden on the 192.
Smokey Bones Restaurant
In the car park at Publix on the 192/535 junction. Fire grilled steaks etc, lots of TV’s with sports - not noisy though! You get your own audio selector so you can choose to listen or not.
